Louise Kern-Kensler

I’m a producer and filmmaker based on the East Coast, currently making TV, videos, and podcasts at America’s Test Kitchen in Boston.

My work has taken me across documentaries, public media, food journalism, and digital content, producing stories for platforms including Netflix, PBS, YouTube, and wherever you get your podcasts. I’m especially interested in the people behind the things we consume, whether that’s food, music, art, or culture, and the stories that reveal something larger about how we live. I love the mix of creative problem-solving and collaboration that comes with making things for an audience.

Before all of this, I studied film and media production alongside classical trombone performance at Indiana University, which gave me an appreciation for both storytelling and the often-invisible work that goes into making something feel effortless.
